In my previous Blog, I wrote of signs of the end times, that Jesus told to the deciples, after they asked about it. I was getting that information from the Gospel of Matthew chapter 24. In that chapter Jesus gave one of the most pointed signs of all prophecy. Jesus told them,
"when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel
the prophet, standing in the holy place, then let those in Judea flee to the mountains........".
It is a very important sign, although some things still have to happen to bring us to that day. I will cover a lot of different writtens to bring that to it's true light. For now, I must cover a few more relevant signs as to where we might be headed now. In Paul's first letter to Timothy, he wrote in chapter 4,
" but the Spirit explicitly says that in latter times some will fall away from the faith,
paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of hypocrisy
of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage
and advocate abstaining from foods, which God has created to be gratefully shared in by
those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing
is to be rejected, if it is recieved with gratitude........in pointing out these things you would
be a good servant of Jesus Christ ...........".
In Paul's second letter to Timothy chapter 3, he wrote,
" But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers
of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful,
unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self control, brutal, haters of
good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding
a form of godliness, although they have denied its power, avoid such men as
these..........always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth".
I won't comment on these, but rather choose to let you reflect on what you might feel, as to what these kind of days might look like.
