Why the Gospel of Jesus is a Jewish Thing

God, from Noah to Mary, has always intervened to preserve the people he had chosen to be the lineage in which he would come into the world.  Jesus was born to a Jewish virgin girl.(Isaiah 7:14).  In the City of David, Bethlehem.(Micah 5:2)  His disciples were all Jewish men from all backgrounds.  The Gospel went out to the Jewish people first.  After Jesus Ascension and the return of His Holy Spirit into the hearts of the believers,  the religious leaders in Israel at that time became concerned about the effect the move of his Spirit, called ,The Way, was having in Israel.  The reality of what was happening could not be denied.  One of the top Pharisees at that time, named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law and respected by all the people, when responding to the other Pharisees opposition said,

" For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody; and a group of about  four hundred men joined up with him.  And he was slain; and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing.  After this man Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away some people after him, he too perished, and all those who followed him were scattered.  And so in the present case, I say to you, stay away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or action should be of man, it will be overthrown; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may be found fighting God".

If Israel and the Jewish people would follow the wisdom of Gamaliel, then they would have to admit that it is of God, for it has grown and continues to go on.  If it is, then your Messiah has come.   Then recieve what He did for you on the cross.
