Israel, what is Jesus to you?

" O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, ..... How often I have wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling." Those were Jesus' own words.  O Israel,  what can I say.  Jesus is the God of Israel.  He is your Savior, Redeemer, Messiah, and the One who will come again and restore all things to Israel.  Yeshua means, The Lord our Salvation.  In Isaiah 45, is written, There is no other God besides me, A Righteous God and Savior, and there is no other God besides Me, A righteous God and Savior, There is none except Me, Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth.  Isaiah 53, talks about the One who would be sacrificed for the forgiveness of sins.  Jesus was the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world.  He redeemed those who would believe in Him.  The Jewish people at the time when Jesus came, were looking forward towards the Messiah who would restore all things to Israel.  Jesus came first to restore the soul. Then  He will come again, in all His Glory, to restore Israel.

The apostle John wrote that Jesus came unto His own and His own knew Him not.  The apostle Paul wrote that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and thus all Israel will be saved.  The Gospel of Jesus and salvation to the Jews first and then overflow to the Gentiles. Jesus came for the Jew first and because of their unbelief, it resulted in Salvation to the whole world.  Not that Jesus died because of their unbelief, but because of their unbelief, the will of God, that Jesus should be sacrificed for the forgiveness of sin and to create a New Creation, was fulfilled.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOEVER believes in Him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE.
