UNDERSTANDING THE DAY OF THE LORD JESUS AND WHAT WILL LEAD UP TO THAT DAY.
The Day of the Lord Jesus is a day that many nations do not allow to be mentioned or taught about in the churches. When it is taught, it is often taught inaccurately. Whether purposely or unintentionally, from lack of knowledge, the misinterpretation has dire consequences. Satan hates the proper teaching of the Day of the Lord and loves the confusion and deception that comes from improper teaching on the subject. This is because Satan wants to take as many souls of human beings into the Lake of Fire (eternal death) as He can. The Lake of Fire was never intended for the soul of humans. It was only reserved for Satan and the Demons (fallen angels) who rebelled and tried to overthrow the Throne and Sovereignty of the only True and Living God.
JESUS'S INVITATION
Jesus realizes that there is not one of us, other that Himself, who chose to be born onto this earth. It is not of our own doing that, being born, each of us came into this world with a sin nature, that according to scripture leads to death and can even lead to eternal death for those who die without knowing Jesus. Jesus' plan, even before the earth was formed, has always been to create a New Creation in the souls of humans. When a human receives what Jesus did, coming as the Lamb of God, sacrificing Himself, shedding His Own blood, and asks Jesus into their soul, the sin nature is forgiven and you are now given a new sinless eternal nature. The New Creation that has now been born in your soul, has eternal life and will dwell in the kingdom of God forever. Your soul that was dead now becomes an eternal living soul and because of that you are rescued from ending up with Satan and the demons in the lake of fire. This is where the phrase, saved, came from and why Jesus is SAVIOR and Lord.
As you read on in this blog, you will see the many things that Jesus will do to get the truth to every human on this earth. Every human needs to know the Truth of what Jesus achieved on the cross for them, so that they can have the opportunity to choose what He did to give them ETERNAL LIFE and rescue them from eternal death in the Lake of fire. So much so, that if someone ends up in the lake of fire, it is only because they chose to go there.
Not one human soul will be cast into the Lake of Fire because of anything they did bad or wrong, or because of the sins they committed, by giving into the sin nature they were born with. It will not be because of things they did. It will only be because of the ONE thing they did not do. The apostle Paul told us what that one thing is when he wrote this in his second letter to the Thessalonians in his 2nd Chapter, in verse 10;
".........because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved."
Not receiving the the love the truth, so that a person can be saved, is the only sin a person can not be forgiven. In rejecting the truth and what it offers, the person is choosing not to receive the truth of what Jesus did to save them. Mark wrote this in his gospel, in the 3rd Chapter, verses 28-29, where Jesus says;
"Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemies against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of eternal sin."
Not receiving the love of the truth to be saved is what Jesus considers to be blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. This is because when Jesus became the final sacrifice for sin, He sent out an invitation to every human that might sound like this;
I invite you to receive the sacrifice I have made for you. In doing so, I welcome you to come and live forever with Me in My eternal kingdom.
When a person says no to the invitation, they refuse the offer of eternal life and choose instead the alternative to remain in their sin nature. They remain guilty of eternal sin and choose eternal death in the Lake of Fire.
One of the most used passages in scripture, and rightfully so, to express this invitation, as simply as possible, is the passage in the Gospel of John in Chapter 3, verse 16:
" For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."
ENDURING
The Day of the Lord Jesus will be one of the most amazing and awesome events, not only in the history of earth, but also in the history of all eternity. There will never be another Day like it throughout all of eternity.
It is very important to understand, with sound doctrine, the events, timeline, and prophetic fulfillments that will lead to this awesome Day. Leading up to this Day will be a time of great deception. Knowing what the Word of God teaches on this event and time, is what will keep you from being deceived. In Matthews Gospel, he recorded in his 24 Chapter, in verse 13, that Jesus stated this;
" Those who endure to the end shall be saved."
Enduring to the end will require the knowledge of a true and sound biblical world view. If I can not show you what I am saying, in scripture, do not believe me. If I can show you in scripture, please consider what I am showing you and study yourself. Between now and the Day of the Lord there will be many teachings on this event that may confuse or even deceive you, so please have ears to hear. If it is written in scripture, it should not be disputed. I will not be interpreting scripture, I will be showing you what is written. With everything I show you, please, with much prayer, ask Jesus if what I am saying and showing you is true and sound.
SIGNS TO LOOK FOR
The Day of the Lord Jesus, is that day in which Jesus will step out of the spiritual realm. We will look at many events that will transpire on that day. As to the signs that will point to the coming of that day, we will look at the words from the mouth of God Himself.
The Apostle Matthew recorded this in his Gospel, in Chapter 24, verse 3, when the disciples asked Jesus, "Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" Jesus responded in verses 4-14 with this;
See to it that no one mislead you, For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many, and you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you be not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. And at that time many will fall away and will deliver up one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many. And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come."
What Jesus spoke in this passage sounds a lot like the days we are in today. We are not quite there yet. What Jesus spoke here will be even worse than what we have been seeing lately. What we see today are just shadows of what will be highly magnified when Satan and his demons are thrown out of heaven and down to the earth. I will show this in scripture as we go on.
BE ENCOURAGED
Jesus tells us not to be frightened. How can we not be frightened when Jesus said that they will deliver to tribulation and will kill you. You must remember, you are not alone. In Matthew 28:20, it is recorded that Jesus told the disciples this;
" teaching them (those who are being baptized into Jesus) to observe all that I commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
You must understand that all this will take place shortly before His coming. When Satan and the demons are kicked out of the spiritual realm, there will only be three and a half years left in this age. Jesus will appear sometime before the end of that three and a half year period. Although ,on the Day of Lord, Jesus will visibly step out of eternity, right now He is still with all of us, even until that day.
The troubles we see today will subside and move towards a time of peace and safety, but we should not get too comfortable. I believe we are headed toward a time of great revival and the salvation of many souls. At this current time, Jesus has revealed to the people on the earth much darkness that had been hidden and for that we should rejoice, because it has awaken many people. I always have to repeat what the apostle Peter wrote in his 2nd letter, Chapter 3, verse 9, because it is why I write.
"The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, NOT WISHING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH but for ALL to come to repentance."
For this reason Jesus stated, that before the end comes and He returns, the gospel (truth) of His kingdom shall be preached as a witness to all nations, so that everyone has a chance to be with Him in His kingdom.
THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION
This is a key revelation as to when we know that we are getting close to His return. Jesus continues in verses 15-16 of Matthew 24;
"Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand)", then let those in Judea flee to the mountains;"
In Luke's gospel Luke recorded Jesus saying this his 21st Chapter, verses 20-22;
"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is at hand. Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are in the mist of the city depart and let not those who are in the country enter the city, because these are the days of vengeance, in order that all things that are written may be fulfilled."
Matthew capitalized ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, because Jesus is giving us a compass showing us where to look. Jesus is telling us to look to the writings of Daniel the prophet. I am going to refer to a few passages in Daniel that explain the abomination that causes the desolation. There are things written in Daniel that I won't try to guess on what he is saying. His writings and prophecies are things yet to happen. These are things we can't see now, but we will be able to make sense of as we see it occurring.
IT...REVEALED IN DANIEL
I am going to start in Daniel Chapter 8, where Daniel is given a vision, because in it we will learn a little about the entity that will bring about the abomination that causes the desolation. I call it an entity because it will be a leader that Daniel will refer to as an IT, not a he. Daniel Chapter 8, Verses 3-8, reveal this;
"Then I lifted my gaze and looked, and behold, a ram which had two horns was standing in front of the canal. Now the two horns were long, but one was longer than the other, with the longer one coming up last. I saw the ram butting westward, northward, and southward, and no other beast could stand before him, nor was there any to rescue from his power, but he did as he pleased and magnified himself. While I was observing, behold, a male goat was coming from the west over the surface of the whole earth without touching the ground; and the goat had a conspicuous horn between his eyes. And he came up to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing in front of the canal, and rushed at him in his mighty wrath. And I saw him come beside the ram, and he was enraged at him; and he struck the ram and shattered his two horns, and the ram had no strength to withstand him. So he hurled him to the ground and trampled on him, and there was none to rescue from his power. Then the male goat magnified himself exceedingly. But as soon as he was mighty, the large horn was broken; and in its place there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven."
In verses 20 and 21 of Chapter 8, the Arch angel Gabriel, in verse 16, interprets the vision for Daniel and reveals to Daniel who the Ram and the Goat are;
"The ram that you saw with the two horns represent the kings of Media (today the area of Iraq) and Persia (today the area of Iran)." And the shaggy goat represents the kingdom of Greece, and the large horn that is between his eyes is the first king."
So what we see here taking place is an event and action, of some type, where from the area of Iraq and Iran will come a joint effort, led by two leaders, one from Iraq and one from Iran that will push towards the north, the south, and the west towards Jerusalem. The canal that they are standing in front of, could be the Jordan River. It could possibly be the Euphrates River , although that would not really cause a threat, for it is in Iraq. It sounds like an aggressive action that triggers a response from the realm of Greece led by one leader. One thing to note here is that the realm of Greece comes from the west over the surface of the whole earth without touching the ground. This sounds like a massive air campaign, which was not even possible until the age of aircraft.
The realm of Greece and the leader are successful in stopping the aggression from the ram. The leader of the realm of Greece will magnify himself exceedingly. This means that he will become very popular and well known and will probably be celebrated for his victory, but shortly after that he is "broken". Broken is not a word that would be used if he was replaced. I believe that it is possible that something happens to him that ends his life. Something happens that will result in his rule being replaced with four leaders that, as it is written, "towards the four winds of heaven." This could mean that these four leaders will come from various places throughout the earth and govern throughout the earth. Usually, towards the four winds of heaven means throughout the earth. These four leaders will each rule one of the four kingdoms that the realm of Greece will be divided into.
Daniel's vision continues in Chapter 8, verses 9-14;
"And out of one of them came forth a rather small horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Beautiful Land. And IT grew up to the host of heaven and caused some of the host and some of the stars to fall to the earth, and It trampled them down. IT even magnified ITself to be equal to the Commander of the host, and IT removed the regular sacrifice from Him. And on account of transgression the host will be given over to the horn along with the regular sacrifice; and IT will fling truth to the ground and perform IT's will and prosper."
A few things to note hear is that when Daniel refers to the small horn (leader), Daniel refers to the leader as an IT and not he. Also note that when Daniel said that IT magnified ITself to be equal to the Commander of the host, Commander is capitalized indicating that Commander refers to Jesus (God). IT also, removed the regular sacrifice from Him. Again with Him being capitalized inferring that IT will remove the regular sacrifice from Jesus (God). We are going to see that removing the regular sacrifice is part of the Abomination that causes the Desolation.
THE BROKEN SACRIFICE COVENANT
Jesus, as God's own Lamb, became the final sacrifice for sin. In doing so, Jesus created a body, that means church, and Jesus called it His bride. Everyone who believes in Jesus and receives what He did, becomes a New Creation that will make up a part of His bride the church. So, if Jesus was the final sacrifice, we must understand why the regular sacrifice will be reinstated and what it has to do with Jesus. The required period of sacrificing is a covenant that God made with the descendants Jacob (the house of Israel). Daniel even needed help with the vision he saw and the Archangel Gabiel gives him understanding when he tells Daniel this in Daniel's 9th Chapter, verses 24-27;
"Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people (Israel) and your holy city, to finish transgression, to make an end to sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place. So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a degree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. Then after the sixty two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wings of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."
Let me explain this as simple as possible. Weeks, in the time of Daniel, were known to be a seven year period. So, seventy weeks would be 490 years. Gabriel reveals that from the time the decree is given restore and rebuild Jerusalem and Jesus being crucified would be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. This would be sixty nine weeks or 483 years. King Cyrus made this decree when he freed the Israelites, including Daniel, from captivity in Babylon. For 483 years after the decree, the Israelites made sacrifices for sin. When Jesus was crucified, the sacrifices stopped. This leaves seven years remaining to perform sacrifices to bring in everlasting righteousness to house of Israel and to anoint the most holy place, the earthly Jerusalem, atoning for its sin.
There is the heavenly Jerusalem, the place that Jesus is preparing right now, and the earthly Jerusalem. The purpose for completing these sacrifices could be for an earthly purpose of atoning the Israelites and Jerusalem for the Millennial Reign of Jesus over the earth. Gabriel said, "to anoint the most holy place". In Ezekiel's writings, in his Chapters 40-45, Ezekiel is shown a vision by God concerning a new temple to be built for sacrifices that will be performed. This will be performed during Jesus and His New Creations Millennial reign, where they will rule from the Heavenly Jerusalem.
Gabriel said that the prince who is to come will make a firm covenant with the many for one week (seven years), and that in the middle of the week he will put a stop to the sacrifices and grain offerings. Gabriel also stated that the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary, and that on the wings of Abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction. This is what Jesus told his disciples would be the sign to look for as to the end of the age and His coming. 'The ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION spoken of by the prophet Daniel'. Note that the prince who is to come, who made the covenant and broke it half way through, then becomes the one who makes desolate, becomes IT. "IT removed the regular sacrifice". Daniel 8:11
Back in Chapter 8 of Daniel, when Gabriel was interpreting Daniel's vision of the ram and the goat, Gabriel continued in verses 23 -25;
" And in the latter period of their rule, When the transgressors have run their course, A king will arise insolent and skilled in intrigue. And his power will be mighty, but not by his own power. And he will destroy to an extraordinary degree, And prosper and perform his will. He will destroy mighty men and holy people. And through his shrewdness he will cause deceit to succeed by his influence; And he will magnify himself in his heart, and he will destroy many while they are at ease. He will even oppose the Prince of princes, But he will be broken without human agency."
Notice that this kings power will be mighty, but not by his own power. He will oppose the Prince of princes, Jesus. And that his end will come without any help from humans.
The apostle Paul tells us how this king will be broken without human agency, when Paul writes this in his second letter to the Thessalonians, in his 2nd Chapter, verse 8;
"And then the lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders."
Again, Daniel refers to this leader, when he writes this in his 11th Chapter, verses 31 and 32;
"And forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation. And with smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but those who know their God will display strength and take action."
HELPING MANY TO UNDERSTAND
Jesus pointed us to Daniel to let us know that, the abomination that will make desolate, will be a sign that his return is near, but maybe, more so, that we would see what was written next in verses 33-35;
"And those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many; yet they will fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and plunder, for many days. Now when they fall they will be granted a little help, and many will join with them in hypocrisy. And some of those who have insight will fall, in order to refine, purge, and make them pure, until the end time; because it is still to come at the appointed time.
Jesus never hid from us the fact that some day we might have to die for His sake. Jesus told us this, as recorded in Matthews gospel, Chapter 16, verses 24 and 25;
"If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up the cross, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall loose it; but whoever looses his life for My sake shall find it."
Jesus realizes that His Saints must know what is coming if we are to, "endure to the end", but also that we would be able to give understanding to others as to what is taking place and sharing the truth about Jesus. Jesus said that no man knows the day or hour. Maybe not the day or the hour, but the apostle Paul wrote in his first letter to the Thessalonians, in Chapter 5,verse 4 that," we are not in the dark that that day should overtake us like a thief".
IT...REVEALED IN REVELATIONS
Jesus began to explain who this IT character is, when He gave revelation of it to John. In Jesus book of Revelation, He had John write down and reveal this in the 12th Chapter, verses 7-11;
" And there was a war in heaven, Michael and his angels wagging war with the dragon, And the dragon and his angels (demons) waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer any place found for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, and the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels (demons) were thrown down with him."
"And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, 'Now the salvation and the POWER, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.
Notice I capitalized power. When Satan and his demons are thrown out of heaven, the whole dynamics of how it will then be in heaven and for the believers here on the earth will be totally changed. With no more accuser in heaven, believers will have no interference between them and the throne of God. A totally new experience. Believers will boldly proclaim the truth of Jesus and the power of His blood. Believers will not even fear death. The apostle John wrote this in his 1st epistle, Chapter 3, verse 18;
'There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out all fear,..."
God Is love. With Satan cast out of heaven, believers will be totally engulfed with the love of Jesus. Even though we are already totally engulfed in Jesus love, it will be a greater reality. The concern about dying will not even be a thought.
John continues on in reveling for Jesus in Chapter 12, verses 12-17;
"'For this reason , rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.' "And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that gave birth to the male child. And the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, in order that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she will be nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the women, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. And the earth helped the woman , and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus."
In these passages, Jesus is showing us who the IT is that Daniel wrote about. The one who causes the Abomination of Desolation is Satan. IT is Satan. That is why Daniel didn't refer to IT as a he. Remember that Gabriel interpreted for Daniel this about the one that causes the Abomination of Desolation, "his power will be be mighty, but not by his own power". We will soon read that there will be a leader who will be slain and come back to life. This leader will come back to life at the same time Satan is cast out of Heaven. We will see that when Satan is kicked out of Heaven, there will be forty two months, which is three and a half years, until the end of this age.
When Satan is cast out of Heaven, it says that he comes down with great wrath, because he knows that his time is short. Daniel wrote that the person who makes the seven year covenant with the many, is the one who does away with the regular sacrifice. The covenant is broken three and a half years into the seven year period. That leaves three and a half years until the end of this age. So if the person who makes the covenant is killed and comes back to life, it is not of his own power. His body is now being used by Satan, IT.
Satan will persecute the woman who gave birth to the male child. We know that it is the Israelites through whom Jesus, the male child, came into the world. The woman, the Israelites will be rescued by a great eagle that will take them to a placed that has been prepared for them in the wilderness, where they will be nourished for a time, times and a half of time, from the presence of the serpent. A time is equal to a year, times is equal to two years, and a half a time, which adds up to three and a half years. Satan becomes enraged when the woman (Israelites) are taken to safety, and turns his focus of wrath towards her offspring, those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. These are the believers, the Saints, who have become New Creations, through there faith in Jesus. In doing so they have become part of Jesus, His body. This is how believers, Saints, are also the women's (Israel's) offspring.
It also describes how Satan will pour out a flood from water that came out of his mouth to sweep away the woman. This flood is the call by Satan, who is in the leader that was slain, for military action to come against Israel and Jerusalem. Remember Jesus reveled this in Luke 21:20;
"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is at hand. Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains."
Jesus is telling those who are in Judea to flee, because He has a place prepared for them that they will be taken to. A place where they will be taken to on two wings of an eagle, obviously airplanes, where they will be taken care of and safe from the presence of serpent and his wrath.
Also remember what Daniel wrote, in his Chapter 11, verse 31;
"And forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the Abomination of Desolation."
Jesus revels this in His Revelation, in Chapter 13;
"And he stood on the sand of the seashore. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority."
Notice that is says that the dragon (Satan) gives his power to the beast. It is the same thing that was written by Daniel, when he wrote about IT, saying "and his power will be mighty, but not by his own power".
THE HARLOT CITY
This beast with all the horns(kingdoms) and heads(leaders) is in unity with the Harlot city that will be built in the end times. This city will be like the Capital of the world, with many countries and leaders being represented and ruling from there. In Chapter 17, verses 3-5, we read this;
"And he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven and ten horns. And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, and upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery, 'BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH'.
THE KING OF TYRE, the Harlot City
This city will be built in the last days with total global cooperation of the world. The Prophet Ezekiel wrote an interesting passage and because of it, I believe that this city will be built in Lebanon, in their city of Tyre.
For the sake of not turning this blog into a book, I am going to refer you to some passages to read. It is always good for you to read for yourself the passages I am referring to and what I am asking you to read, so that you can get an all encompassing picture of what I am trying to convey, so you can gain more understanding.
I am going to write why I feel that the Great Harlot city will be built in Tyre, Lebanon and then give some cross references that speak on this city and it's king. Ezekiel writes this about the leader of Tyre in his 28th Chapter, verses 1-19;
"The word of the Lord came again to me saying, 'Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God, 'Because your heart is lifted up and you say, ''I am a God, I sit in the seats of gods, In the heart of the seas". Yet you are a man and not God, Although you make your heart like the heart of God--- Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you. By your wisdom and understanding you acquired riches for yourself, and have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries. By your great wisdom, by your trade you have increased your riches, And your heart is lifted up because of your riches--- Therefore, thus says the Lord God, 'Because you have made your heart like the heart of God, Therefore I will bring strangers upon you, The most ruthless of the nations. And they will draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and defile your splendor. They will bring you down to the pit, and you will die the death of those who are slain in the heart of the seas. Will you still say, "I am a god"?, in the presence of your slayer, Although you are a man and not God. In the hands of those who wound you? You will die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers, For I have spoken!', declares the Lord God.
Continuing in verses 11-19, The Lord God tells Ezekiel to take up a lamentation against the king of Tyre. When Ezekiel laments the king of Tyre, Ezekiel is describing and lamenting Satan;
"Again the word of the Lord came to me saying, 'Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord God', 'You had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering; The ruby, the topaz, and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx, and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise, and the emerald; And gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. On the day you were created they were prepared. You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the mist of the stones of fire. You were blameless in all your ways from the day you were created, Until unrighteousness was found in you. By the abundance of your trade you were internally filled with violence, and you sinned; Therefore I cast you as profane from the mountain of God. And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I put you before kings, That they may see you. By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade, You profaned the sanctuaries. Therefore I brought fire from the mist of you; It has consumed you, and I have turned you to ashes on the earth in the eyes of all who see you. All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; You have become terrified and will be no more.'"
THE FALL OF SATAN AND THE DEMONS AND THE RISE OF THE NEW CREATION
Satan was the most beautiful of all angelic creations. He was the anointed cherub that covers. This means that because of his beauty, he was placed as a covering above the throne of God. God is Spirit and had no form, so He was not visible. So God created this beautiful being so that His Light could shine through it to show His Glory, like through stain glass. Satan was so beautiful, that He began to believe that he was God, and the angels , because they could see him and his beauty, rebelled with Satan against the God whom they could not see.
This is why God, the Creator, came up with a plan, where part of it, was to create for Himself a beautiful Glorious body, along with His Spirit, that would be visible in heaven to the angels and the New Creations that He would make in His likeness. God did this by making an earthly body for Himself, Jesus. Through His death on the cross, being buried in the grave, coming back to life through the power of His Spirit, He made a visible eternal body for Himself and made possible, for any human who wanted to, to be recreated in His likeness, New Creations.
Recommended reading on the Harlot City and its leader;
Ezekiel Chapter 27:
In this Chapter Ezekiel is told by God to give this lamentation over the city of Tyre. In this Chapter Ezekiel will reveal the quality in which this city will be built. It will show all the countries that will be represented there, with military presence from many countries dwelling there. It explains that the trade from many nations made many wealthy, and at the city's destruction they were all terrified. It describes similarly the same things that were written about the Great Harlot city, Babylon the great, in Revelation Chapter 18.
Referred reading as to the city, Babylon the Great, and its leader:
Revelation Chapter 18;
This Chapter will show the parallels of what was written in Ezekiel Chapter 27 and Revelation Chapter 18.
Jeremiah Chapter 51;
Jeremiah writes about Babylon and its fall. The most important thing to note from this passage is in verse 58, "So the peoples will toil for nothing, And the nations become exhausted only for fire." The construction of Babylon the great will be a total global effort, with all nations participating in its construction and interactive trade. It will be built quick, have a short existence, and destroyed quickly. This is why the people of the earth will be terrified at its destruction. Many leaders and nations and people and merchants will become very wealthy because of its construction and trade.
Isaiah Chapter 13;
The prophet Isaiah puts forth a prophecy about the the destruction of Babylon. You will notice and I will write more latter in the blog on verses 3-5. In these verses it describes the Lord and His instruments of indignation. We will read latter in the blog where Jesus will return with His holy ones, the saints, to execute this destruction.
Isaiah Chapter 14, verses 1-23;
In this Chapter, Isaiah takes up a taught against the king of Babylon. Notice that in verse 12, Isaiah writes, "How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, you who have weakened the nations! But you say in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.' Never the less you will be thrust down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit. Again showing that the king of Babylon will be Satan cast down to the earth.
THE COVENANT MAKER SLAIN BECOMES IT
Revelation , Chapter 13, as we continue in verses 3-10;
"And I saw one of the heads, as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast, and they worshiped the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, 'Who is like the beast , and who is able to wage war against him?' And there was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies; and authority to act for forty- two months was given him. And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blasphemy His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven. And it was given to him to make war against the saints and to overcome them; and authority over ever tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. If anyone has an ear let him hear. If anyone is destined to captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and faith of the saints.
We saw in Daniel where the person who brings forth the Abomination of Desolation will do what we just read here in Revelation. Notice that He is given 42 months, which is three and a half years. Please realize that anyone who believes and receives what Jesus did for them, will have their name written from the foundation of the world in the Book of Life of the Lamb that was slain.
THE MARK OF THE BEAST
I am going to insert this here because it is important to understand what the mark of the beast is and when it will be implemented. Lately you may have been hearing that,"this is the mark of the beast", or that is the mark of the beast'. The mark of the beast can not be initiated until Satan in cast down to the earth, during the last three and a half years of this age. We must first see Babylon the great being built, a sanctuary in Jerusalem, a seven year covenant made with the many that initiates the regular sacrifice, then the sacrifice stopped after three and a half years and the one, IT, in power when he stops the sacrifice, resulting in the Abomination of Desolation. The actual mark will not be initiated until this all happens. We see what brings the mark about and its purpose in Revelation Chapter 13, verses 11-17;
"And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. And he performs great signs , so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has came back to life. And there was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast might even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. And he causes all, the small and great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark, either on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one should be able to buy or sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understand calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
The first beast is the one who will make the seven year covenant with many, which starts the regular sacrifice. The first beast is the one who is killed by the sword and comes back to life. The second beast speaks like a dragon (Satan). The second beast gives breath to the image of the first beast. The image of the first beast is the first beast body. The second beast(Satan) causes the first beast image to be worshiped. What we have here is a man who has died, being given breath from Satan, basically having Satan dwelling in the first beast, calling for self worship and having all people worship him. This describes the IT of Daniel.
WARNING OF RECEIVING THE MARK OF THE BEAST
This will be the consequence for those who worship the beast and his image and receive the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast is on the right hand or the forehead. It will be placed on the foreheads of those who do not have a right hand. The mark allows a person to buy or sell goods and services. We have all the technology for this to be implemented right now, but it will not be used until after Satan is cast down to the earth. We are warned of the consequence of getting this mark in Revelation, Chapter 14 verses 9-13;
"And another angel, a third one followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or upon his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimestone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.' Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!' "Yes", says the Spirit, 'that they may rest from their labor, for their deeds follow with them.'"
WHEN THE DAY OF THE LORD BEGINS
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on'" We are going to see what this means going forward. This is what will begin the Day of the Lord. This is what will occur when the Saints are caught up to meet the Lord in the air and their bodies are transformed. The dead shall rise first, then those who are alive and remaining shall rise to meet the Lord. In that process the ones that are alive must die as they are rising in the air. The body is a seed and a seed must die before it can become what will come forth from the seed.
The apostle Paul wrote two letters to the Thessalonians and in both of them he wrote about the day of the Lord. He had to write about it again in his 2nd letter, because people were bringing forth false doctrine about that day. In Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians, he writes this in his 4th Chapter, in verses 13-18;
"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remaining shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."
Things to notice here is that when it refers to those who have fallen asleep, they are those who have died. Those who are dead will rise first , but all will be taken up together. This is because those who are alive are in full bodies. It will take a twinkling of an eye amount of time to bring the dead forth to join those who are alive. We will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Notice that those who are resurrected and caught to be with Jesus in the air will dwell there with Jesus, in the air, heavens. We will see what this means as Jesus taught.
Paul continues with this in the 5th Chapter, verses 1-6;
"Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full and well that the Day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, 'Peace and safety!', then destruction will come upon then suddenly like birth pangs upon a women with child; and they shall not escape. BUT YOU BRETHREN, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS, THAT THE DAY SHOULD OVERTAKE YOU LIKE A THIEF; for you are sons of the light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober."
When Paul wrote that, "as to the times and epoch, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you", he was wrong. Paul took for granted that they knew the signs to look for, as to the coming of the Day of the Lord. That is why I am not taking for granted that all the Saints know what to look for as to Jesus' coming. That is why I am writing this blog. Paul had to write his 2nd letter to the Thessalonians to teach them what to look for as to the times and epochs, because either by spirits or messages or writings, they were being influenced to believe false doctrines, which are doctrines of demons, that were causing them to fear that they had missed that day.
Paul told them to not sleep as others do, and to be alert and sober. To not sleep, means to be awaken. To be alert means be focused as to what is taking place so that you can be prepared. To become awaken, you have to know the truth, not just in part, but as whole as possible.
Let's look at what Paul wrote in his 2nd letter to the Thessalonians, in his 2nd Chapter, in verses 1-4, where Paul had to warn them not to be deceived by those who are bringing forth doctrines of demons that were teaching that the Day of the Lord had already come;
"Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together with Him, that you may not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the Day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
What we see here is Paul's concern that his brethren be not deceived. He did not want them shaken from their composure. Paul knew that they would be upset to think that the Day of the Lord had already occurred and they had missed it. Such a demon thing.
What Paul wrote to them about the son of destruction and a man seating himself in the temple of God, making claims of being God, is only something he could have learned from Daniel's writings. Either someone who heard Jesus say, "when you see the Abomination of Desolation, standing in the holy place," told him, or he had read Daniel. He took for granted they knew. They obviously didn't know, or misunderstood what was written. Paul's ministry was to the gentles. Thessalonians were gentiles before they accepted Jesus. They were not familiar with old testament writings. Paul was fully aware of the writings of the prophets.
Paul reveals to us that the temple must be built, because this man of lawlessness will seat himself in the temple of God, making claims of being God. This is the ultimate Abomination that leads to the Desolation. This son of destruction is the IT of Daniel and the beast of Revelations.
Paul continues in verses 8-10;
"And then the lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will remove with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and False wonders, and with all deception of wickedness for those who perish, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT RECEIVE THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH AS TO BE SAVED."
MEETING JESUS IN THE AIR
When the Day of the Lord begins`, the first amazing thing that will happen, is what Paul wrote saying;
"Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord".
Meeting with Jesus in the air and always being with Him there, where is that?, and what does that mean?, would seem to be obvious questions. Jesus tells us where this is, in the the gospel of John, Chapter 14, verses 1-3;
"Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Fathers house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that were I am, there you may be also."
Jesus is in the spiritual realm now, in His ascended Glorified Body. The first born of all of the New Creations. Jesus is preparing the Heavenly Jerusalem.
Paul in his first letter the the Corinthians in his 2nd Chapter, verse 21;
"But as it is written: 'Eye has not see, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for them that love Him'."
It is a place far above anything that we can imagine. It is good to know who this Jesus is that you are going to meet up with on that glorious day.
KNOW WHO YOU WORSHIP
I am going to insert something here that is a beautiful thing to see and understand, for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see. These are not my words. They are either true or a lie. It was important to Jesus that He reveal this to Philip, so that Philip, His disciples, and any one who would read this passage, would understand who He is. It is the most powerful revelation that Jesus revealed during His time on this earth. This is what Jesus continues to say, in John's gospel Chapter 14, verses 4-9;
"'And you know the way where I am going.' Thomas said to Him, 'Lord, we do not know where you are going, how do we know the way?' Jesus said to him, "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him", Philip said to Him, 'show us the Father, and it is enough for us'. Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, ''Show us the Father? " "
Its either true or a lie. Its not a lie, because Jesus said it. So if it is true, how is it possible? I did a blog to answer this in the (Part 8) of an eight part series on "What is Desired". I wrote it before this blog. You can read it to get an expanded view on scripture that speaks to this. I am going to explain how this is possible in a way that is as short as possible and hopefully understandable.
God is Spirit....John's 1st epistle, Chapter 4, verse 24
God is Holy....Leviticus chapter 19, verse 2
Therefore God is a Holy Spirit
Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit...Luke Chapter 1, verses 31, 34 and 35;
"And behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bear a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus.....'How can this be, since I am a virgin?' And (Gabriel) said to her, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall over shadow you; and for this reason the holy offspring shall be called the Son of God'.
The Holy Spirit becomes a Father.
Conceived means an egg in Mary's womb was fertilized by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Holy Spirit, not being a physical being, did not impregnate Mary with a sperm. So what was used to conceive this holy offspring.
God is Light....John's 1st epistle, Chapter 1, verse 5
God is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is Light.
The Holy Spirit came upon Mary and she was conceived.
The Light came upon Mary and she was conceived.
Mary's egg was fertilized with the Light of God.
That made Jesus, Light Man, my nickname for Him.
This makes Jesus(the Holy Offspring) the Holy Spirit's (Light's)body.
Is there scripture for that?...John's gospel, Chapter 1, verses 4-10;
"In Him was life, and the life was the light of man. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John (John here was referring to John the baptist). He came for a witness, that he might bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came that he might bear witness of the light. There was the true LIGHT which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world did not know Him."
God is now a Father...He had no children before Jesus, so the Holy Spirit was not a Father before Jesus was conceived. The gospel of John 3:16;
" For God so loved the world, that He gave His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
God is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit becomes a Heavenly Father.
Jesus is the Holy Spirit's (Light's)body.
Jesus is the Father's (Holy Spirit's) body.
Or we can look at it from these verses.
"The Word was God"..... John's Gospel, Chapter 1, verse 1.
"And the Word became flesh"....John's Gospel, Chapter 1, verse 14.
God became flesh.
God is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit became flesh.
The Holy Spirit is the Father.
The Father became flesh.
Jesus is the Father's body.
We now have the Holy Spirit a Father and the Holy Spirit a body, making the body the Father's body also. Therefore when Jesus says, " He who has seen Me has seen the Father", it is the truth.
Jesus said, "I and the Father are One..... John's gospel, Chapter 10, verse 30.
"Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one".... Deuteronomy, Chapter 6, verse 4.
" Believe Me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me'.... John's gospel, Chapter 14, verse 11.
"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and WE will come to him, and make Our abode with him."....John's gospel, Chapter 14, verse 23. When referring to the Holy Spirit.
"In that day you will know that I am in the Father, and you are in Me, and I in you." John's gospel, Chapter 14, verse 20.
"Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test." Paul's 2nd letter to the Corinthians, Chapter 13, verse 5.
I pound this truth because Jesus puts it on my heart to convey this message to His flock. I take on a huge responsibility, "to much is given, much is required", to act as an overseer. If Jesus is to be properly worshiped, the saints should worship Him in Spirit and truth and know who they are addressing when they pray, talk to Him. In this passage by Paul, in the book of Acts, Chapter 2 , verse 28, Paul warns us to be on our guard;
"Be on your guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood"
The Holy Spirit making a body for Himself, Jesus, "purchased us with His own blood".
WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH
Jesus told this to the Samaritan woman at Jacobs well as recorded in John's gospel, Chapter 4, verses 21-24;
" Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall you worship the Father. You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know, for salvation is from the Jews, But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and truth.'
In Spirit, because a believer is born again by the Spirit of God. In Truth, because we should worship Jesus in the true knowledge of who He is.
The apostle Peter writes this in his 2nd epistle, in Chapter 3, verse 18;
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."
Knowledge of who He is.
In the prophet Isaiah's writing, he reveals this in his 9th Chapter, verse 6;
" For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name shall be............EVERLASTING FATHER............"
So when you address Jesus, in His Most High and Holy name, Jesus ( Yeshua ), you are addressing both the Father's Majestic Glorified body and the Father's Spirit. The Body and the Spirit are One and share the same name. Jesus told us this, as recorded in the gospel of John, Chapter 17, verse 11;
"And I am no more in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father keep them in Your name, the name that You have given Me, that they may be one, even as We are.'
In addressing Jesus, you are addressing the Oneness of the Holy Father. The Oneness is His Spirit's Glorified Heavenly body and His Spirit, both the Father and both the Holy Spirit. For the Holy Spirit is the Father and Son (Body now Glorified)
This is why ALL the apostles ALWAYS baptized in the Name of Jesus (Yeshua)....The Father and Son, the Holy Spirit.
You may want to read over that a few times, but hang in there. Seek and pray and you will find.
THE RESURRECTION AND ASCENSION
Now getting back to meeting this Majestic Glorified Resurrected Lord in the air. Let's look at what Paul was referring to when he said in his 1st letter to the Thessalonians, in Chapter 4, verses 16-18;
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words."
Remember, Jesus said that He was going away to prepare a place for His Saints, and that if He goes away to prepare a place for them, then He will come back and receive them to Himself, so that where He was they would be also. This event of Jesus receiving, those who call Him Lord, to where He is, is the beginning of the Awesome Day of the Lord Jesus. The apostle Paul gives a look at the resurrection in His first letter to the Corinthians, in Chapter 15, verses 35-54;
"But someone will say, 'How are the dead raised?' 'And with what type of body do they come?' You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies; and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body just as He wished, and to each of the seeds a body of its own. All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another flesh of fish. There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sow a perishable body, it is raised a imperishable body; it was sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness , it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So also it is written, 'The first man, Adam, became a living soul'. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. The first man is from the earth, earthly, the second man is from heaven. As is the earthly, so also are those who are earthly; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. And just as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now I say to you brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For the perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when the perishable will have put on the imperishable, and the mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, 'Death is swallowed up in victory'."
Paul mentioned in Thessalonians that a trumpet will sound, and again here in Corinthians, Paul writes that when the last trumpet sounds the dead will be raised imperishable, and that we will be all changed. The last trumpet, is the 7th trumpet that will sound, that will call up the Saints of Jesus and begin the 7 bowls of wrath that will be poured out onto the earth, as the saints are being taken up in heaven and transformed.
The reason that they will have to be changed is because, as Paul stated, "Flesh and blood can not inherit the Kingdom of God". Paul said to look at the body as just a seed. A seed that is planted grows into something much greater than the seed. A sunflower seed grows into a big beautiful yellow flower. Every person is a different type of a seed. What we will become will be more glorious than our human bodies. The human body is perishable, meaning that at death it perishes and returns to dust. The human body is also mortal, meaning that when it takes its last breath it will die.
When the saints (believers) are drawn into the air, they will shed the perishable part that will then become imperishable and they will also shed their mortal part that dies and take on immortality. The seed (body) that they were, will be transformed into a new glorious Heavenly body that will never perish and will become immortal, they will never die.
When a Saint (believer) dies, the New Spiritual Creation that has been alive in their souls, are transported to the presence of the Lord Jesus. There in the presence of the Lord Jesus, they are kept under the Altar in Heaven until the Day of the Lord Jesus, when they are brought out by Jesus to join with there new transformed resurrected bodies(seeds). The seed (body) of the Saints who are dead, will be caught up into the air and transformed and will meet up with their spirits in heaven.
Paul writes this in the 2nd Letter tho the Corinthians, in his 5th Chapter, verse 8;
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the Lord."
And again Paul writes to the Philippians in his 1st Chapter, verses 23;
"But I am hard-pressed from both direction, having the desire to depart and to be with Christ, for that is very much better."
Jesus showed this to John in His Book of Revelation, Chapter 6, verses 9-11;
"And when He broke the 5th seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the Word of God, and because of the testimony that they maintained; and they cried out with a loud voice, saying,'How long, O Lord, holy and true, wilt Thou refrain from judging and revenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?' And there was given them white robes; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, should be complete."
The Saints who are still alive will be caught up into the air and their seeds (bodies) will be transformed with their spirits within them. They all will meet up with Jesus in the air after Jesus breaks the veil that separates the physical realm from the spiritual realm. They will be raised in the likeness of their risen Lord. Paul writes this in his letter to the Romans, in Chapter 2, verse 5;
" For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection.
Paul wrote this in his letter to the Philippians in Chapter 3, verses 20 and 21;
"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself."
So what we know is that The Day of Lord begin with the signal of a trumpet that will sound and that it will be the Last Trumpet. Then the dead and the living, who are in Jesus, will be raised and transformed to meet up with Jesus in the air. Those who were dead, their bodies will be transformed on the way there to join up with their spirits that had been under the Altar.
When the Day of the Lord begins it will be the Glorious part. It is the event that all creation has been waiting for to come. Paul writes this in his letter to the Romans, in Chapter 8, verses 18 and 19;
"For I consider that the sufferings of this present times are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is the be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God."
WHO QUALIFIES TO RISE
Being raised to meet Jesus in the air through the the resurrection and ascension, will be for ANY person who has been born of above, through there faith in Jesus, and have asked Jesus to come into their souls so that He could create a New Creation in their souls. To enter the kingdom of God, a person must be born of above. Being born again occurs when a person receives Jesus. Jesus said this, in the gospel of John, Chapter 3, verses 3,5 and 6;
'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again of above, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Truly, truly , I say to you, unless one is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of Spirit is spirit."
Being born of water, means being born in the flesh, which is the body. To enter the kingdom of God you have to have had a body. If you are reading this, you qualify. It is in the body's soul, where a person can be born again. It is the soul of a human where they can be born again by the Spirit of God. When a human is born again by the Spirit of God, they are now filled with His Spirit. When His Spirit comes into a persons soul, they become New Creation. A new life is now growing in their soul.
John wrote how a person could become a son of God, in his gospel, Chapter 1, 12 and 13;
"They said therefore to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?', Jesus answered and said to them, 'This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom sent."
AS THE DAY OF THE LORD CONTINUES
Let's look at how the Day of the Lord continues. In the the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 24, when Jesus was revealing to them the signs of His coming and pointing them to Daniel, to warn them of the destruction that Satan will cause on the earth, Jesus tells them this as to His gathering His own, in verses 29-31;
"But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken, then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of sky to the other."
To see what will happen when the elect meet up with Jesus in the air and what they will see, we will look what Jesus showed John in His Book of Revelation, Chapter 19, verses 11-16;
"And I saw Heaven opened; and behold a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteous He judges and wages war. And His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems; and He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself. And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called the Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. And from His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it he may smite the nations; and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God. And on His robe and on His thigh has a name written, 'King of King and Lord of Lords'."
So what we see is Heaven opened up and the veil that separates the Spiritual realm from the physical realm is dissolved. So when Jesus comes out of Heaven riding on a white horse, He is riding along with His saints (sons of God) that He had called to come up and meet Him in the air, riding with Him on white horses. Then Jesus and His army on white horses following Him, will execute the wrath of God.
THE WRATH A RESCUE
We must realize why the wrath of God will come. We find part of the reason in what Jesus reveals to John, in Jesus' Book of Revelation, in Chapter 11, verses 15-19;
"And the seventh angel sounded (blew his trumpet: from Revelation 8:2), 'And I saw seven angels who stand before God; and seven trumpets were given to them.'; and there arose loud voices in heaven, saying, 'The Kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign for ever and ever'. And the twenty-four elders, who sit on their throne before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, 'We give You thanks O Lord God, the Almighty, who is and who was, because You have taken Your Great Power and have began to reign.' And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to give their reward to Your bond -servants the prophets and to the saints and to those who fear Your name, the small and the great and TO DESTROY THOSE WHO ARE DESTROYING THE EARTH." And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there was flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm."
There is a lot is these verses and much to what we have already covered, just expressed in a different way. First we see the seventh trumpet sound. The seventh trumpet is the last trumpet, that we have already learned will sound calling the saints up to meet Jesus in the air. When the last, seventh, trumpet sounds, the heavens are opened up and the kingdom of the world becomes now the kingdom of the Lord and His Christ and He (singular). ( He, meaning the Lord God and His body and that means He is Jesus.) Jesus, Who is, Who was, and Who came back to life. He takes His great power and begins to reign. Jesus reign will begin with with His Saints meeting up with Him In the air.
Jesus will execute the wrath of God, but not before he rewards the Saints, meaning the resurrection and Him drawing them to Himself. That is the reward, when they meet Him in the air with new immortal glorified bodies and are given white horses to ride on to execute the wrath of God.
I am sure you caught the caps as to why the wrath will come, 'to destroy those who are destroying the earth'. Remember, the son of destruction, Satan had been going forth with great destruction on the earth for three and a half years. After Jesus told His disciples to look at what Daniel wrote about the Abomination of Desolation as a sign of His coming, He told them this, in John's gospel, Chapter 24, verses 21 and 22;
"For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the begging of the world until now, nor ever shall. And unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for sake of the elect those days shall be cut short."
Jesus will shorten those days so that some life will be saved. When this current age comes to an end, a new Millennial Age will begin. The Millennial Age will be when Jesus begins to reign with His New Creation for a thousand years over the earth from the Heavenly Jerusalem that He has been creating. The earth will be repopulated and Jesus will need some life to be preserved for that to happen. Remember, many people fled from Jerusalem and Israel on the wings of an eagle (planes) to a place prepared for them in the wilderness for three an a half years away from the presence of the beast. Once the beast comes to an end, they will return.
THE 144,000 SEALED ONES
Those who are referred to as the elect, are a remnant of the of the house of Israel that will be brought back to the land of Israel. It tells us who these elect are and where Jesus will bring them, in these passages;
Revelation, Chapter 7, 2-4;
"And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, "Do not harm the earth or sea or the trees, until we have sealed the bond- servants on their foreheads.' And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand from every tribe of the sons of Israel."
In verses 5-8, it names the sons of Jacob (Israel) and there will be 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes (12 sons) sealed.
Revelation, Chapter 14, verse 1;
"And I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father on their foreheads."
These 144,000 are brought back to the land of Israel on Mount Zion before the Day of the Lord. This is evident because right after this passage it talks about another angel that will go throughout the earth to proclaim the gospel. So Salvation is still available. Salvation is not available after the Last Trumpet sounds. We will talk about this angel where I will show you everything that Jesus will do so that no one would have to perish.
We also saw this in Revelation, Chapter 11, verses 15-19, in verse 18, it said that nations were enraged, and Jesus wrath came for it was time to judge the dead. The nations were enraged because the nations, along with their leader from Tyre, IT, Satan, or what ever you want to call It, had three and a half years prior, killed or chased the Israelites out of the land of Israel, and all of a sudden the 144,000 show up on Mount Zion and then they see heaven opened up and Jesus appears.
THOSE WHO CHOSE TO STAY DEAD
As to the enraged ones who wage war against the Almighty. When we read that the wrath will come to judge the dead, the dead are those who, as it was written in Thessalonians that we read, " They will perish because they did not receive the love of the truth as to be saved'.
They are dead because their souls are dead. This is best expressed by Paul in his letter to the Ephesians in his 2nd Chapter, verse 1-6;
"You were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the Heavenly places, in Christ Jesus."
A great truth to point out here is that, even while the Saints are dwelling on the earth, their spirits within them are seated with Jesus in the heavenly realm.
Those who the wrath comes upon are those who refused to receive the truth that would have given them life, but rather chose to remain dead. Even when plagues and trials came upon the earth to get people to repent, many chose not to. As written in Revelation, Chapter 9, verses 20 and 21;
"And the rest of mankind who were not killed by the plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as to not worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. (This is referring to the Harlot City that they worshiped) ; And they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries (pharmacia) nor of their immorality nor of their thefts."
DESTRUCTION OF THE HARLOT CITY
In Revelation Chapter 17, verses 8-18, Jesus reveals what will occur right before the battle at Har-Megedon;
"The beast that you saw that was and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth will wonder, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast, that he was and is not, and will come. Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he come, he must remain a little while. And the beast that you saw is himself an eighth, and is one of the seven, and he goes onto destruction.
What we are shown here is that there are seven kings who are the leaders of seven mountains where the woman, who is the Harlot city, sits. The woman corrupts the whole world. The earth has seven mountains, continents. This Harlot city is a world capital, because it sits, rules, on seven mountains. Five kings have fallen, one is. The 6th king, that is, is the king who makes the seven year covenant with the many, who will be killed. In his place will come a 7th king who will take his place, but only for a short while. When the king, that was killed, comes back to life under the power Satan, he will replace the 7th king that stepped in for a short while, making IT the eighth king who goes to destruction.
"And the ten horns which you saw, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one purpose and they give their authority to the beast. These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will over power them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful. And he said to me, 'The waters which you saw where the Harlot sits are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues. And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the Harlot and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire. For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose, by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God should be fulfilled. And the woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth'."
These ten new kings will be given authority with the beast for one hour. These ten kings will give all their power to the beast. This means that they will give him authority over all their military might. The beast, IT, will move all their military and weapons to fight against the coming of Jesus. This will happen in the valley outside Jerusalem, in the valley of Armageddon.
Before Jesus returns with His Saints to fight this battle, the beast and the nations will have seen heaven open up and have see the Glory of Jesus in the heavens. The beast and the nations will hate the Harlot City. Jesus will put it in their hearts to execute His purpose to destroy the City that they worshiped and labored in vain to build. Jesus will turn them around and have them go back and destroy the Harlot city that deceived the nations. It is more chastising and humiliating to to make them destroy the city they worshiped, held power over the earth from, and gloated over.
THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON
After the beast and the armies of the ten kings, destroy the Harlot City, in just one hour, the seventh trumpet will sound. Jesus will remove the beast with His breath. The beast had to be killed because he killed the two witnesses. "Anyone who harms the two witnesses must be killed". With the body of the beast now dead, three demonic spirits, that were in the body, come out of IT and they gather the armies of the earth to war against the Almighty there in Israel, in the valley of Armageddon. As written in Revelation Chapter 16, verses 13-16;
"And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs, for they are spirits of demons performing signs which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the the war of the Great Day of God, the Almighty. ('Behold I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his garments, lest he walk about naked and men see his shame.') And they gather them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon."
In this passage, Jesus injects into it a word to His Saints letting the Saints know that He is soon coming like a thief to steal them from the earth and draw them to Himself and save them from the wrath of God. As it was written in Paul's letter to the Roman's in Chapter 5, verses 8 and 9:
"But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him."
Notice that the 3 demons that come out of the beast look like frogs. When the world has shown us their description of space aliens, you may notice that they resemble frogs or tadpoles. What we were told were aliens are actually demons. When Satan and the demons are kicked out of heaven and down to the earth, they can't say that they are demons. They may tell us that they are aliens. Just a thought.
THE HARVEST
This is what will begin the the Day of the Lord. It will begin with Jesus harvesting from the earth His Saints and then the wrath of God will follow. As recorded in Revelation, Chapter 14, verses 14-20;
"And I looked and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like the son of man, having a golden crown on His head, and a sharp sickle in His hand. And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, 'Put in your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe'. And He who sat on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth; and earth was reaped. And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. And another angel, the one who has power over fire, came out of the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, 'Put in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe'. And the angel swung his sickle to the earth, and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God." And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses' bridles, for a distance of two hundred miles."
The harvest are the Saints who will be gathered to meet up with Jesus in the air. Jesus is the one who put in the sickle to harvest them. The clusters are those who worshiped the beast and received the mark of the beast on their right hand or forehead and did not receive the love of the truth as to be saved. They are gathered into the valley of Armageddon, the great wine press of the wrath of God. Wine represents blood. That is why we see blood coming out of the wine press that will be as high as a horses' bridle for a distance of 200 miles.
JESUS DESIRES THAT NO ONE PERISH
Three big things that Jesus will do, shortly before His coming to get people to repent so that they won't perish. It is Jesus' desire, that no one perish. These are found in three passages in Revelation.
1st) Revelation Chapter 11, verses 1-12;
"And there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, 'Rise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it. And leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread it under foot for forty-two months. And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and two lampstands that stand before the Lord on the earth. And if anyone wishes to harm them, fire proceeds out of the mouth and devours their enemies; and if anyone would desire to harm them, in this manner he must be killed. These have the power to shut up the sky, in order that rain may not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them to blood, and smite the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also the Lord was crucified. And those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not permit their bodies to be laid in a tomb. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice will rejoice over them and make merry; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. And after the three and a half days the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were beholding them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, 'Come up here', And they went up into heaven, in the cloud, and their enemies beheld them. And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; and seven thousands people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past; behold the third woe is coming.'
We see that the outside of the temple is given to the nations. The outer court of the last temple is where the Dome of the Rock has been built. The new temple will be built again on its old site. When the King of Tyre, IT, comes against Israel, does away with the regular sacrifice, and seats himself in the temple making claims of being God, there will be three and a half years left in this age before the Day of the Lord comes. When this leader comes against Jerusalem, he will bring with him the armies of the world that were represented in the Harlot city, Tyre. From that point Jerusalem will be trodden under foot for three and a half years by the nations. The outer court is where the Dome of the Rock and its plaza is. It is just one place where the nations will walk on in Israel.
Jesus will send two witnesses throughout the world proclaiming the gospel of Salvation. These two witnesses will be Enoch and Elijah. These are the only two men who never died, but were taken up off the earth. One can only guess where they have been kept. When they are referred to as olive trees and lampstands before the Lord on the earth, olive represents oil used for anointing and lampstand means light. They are the anointed representatives of the Light of the Lord on the earth. They are representatives of the Light (Truth) of the Lord Jesus. They will proclaim the gospel for 1260 days, which is just short of three and a half years.
The IT, the beast, that comes out of the pit, kills Enoch and Elijah. So IT must be killed, because, 'If any one wishes to harm them, in the same way they should be killed'. The two witnesses final destination on the earth will be in Jerusalem. Their two bodies will lie in the streets for three and a half days. This is so the people can make sure they are dead. Belief is that after 3 days the spirit is gone and they are not able to come back to life. While they are lying there, the whole earth will rejoice like it is Christmas time, giving gifts and drinking. But oops, premature celebration. Jesus gives Enoch and Elijah breath, they come back to life, and then there is a loud shout from heaven for them to, 'Come up here'. Enoch and Elijah must have been very special humans. They are the only humans born before the cross, that will be in Jesus, participate in the first resurrection, get a new glorified body, and enter the kingdom of God.
I believe the call to, 'Come up here', could be the call that is given at the seventh trumpet for the resurrection to occur. Remember, the Day of Lord begins with the temple of God being opened and a great earthquake and hail storm that will follow. I also believe that while Enoch and Elijah lie dead and the world is celebrating, the Harlot city will be destroyed by the beast and the armies of the ten kings, and the two angels that we are about to hear from, both went throughout the earth, before the call to, 'Come up here'. Heaven is opened, Jesus is revealed, and the resurrection will soon follow after the Harlot City is destroyed.
Please believe whatever Enoch and Elijah have to say. Believe what they prophesy, and all their teachings, and their warnings. They are special.
(2nd) Revelation Chapter 14, verses 6 and 7;
"And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, having an eternal gospel to preach to those who live on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people; and he said with aloud voice, 'Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgement has come; and worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.'
Jesus sends this first angel throughout the whole earth to reach out to every soul alive with the eternal gospel, so that they might repent and receive eternal life. The angel was also warning them that the hour of Judgement has come. Basically, 'Don't stay dead'.
3rd) Revelation Chapter 14, verse 8;
"And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, 'Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality."
Jesus will send forth a second angel to let all the inhabitants of the earth know that the Harlot city they idolized and worshiped is destroyed. Letting them know that there is nothing left to hold on to, so please repent and turn to Jesus for life.
WORSHIPERS OF THE BEAST AND THOSE WHO RECEIVED HIS MARK
Unfortunately for those who refused the call for life by getting the mark of the Beast (IT) , a third angel goes throughout the earth letting them know that they missed the train because they worshiped the beast (IT) and received IT's mark on their right hand or forehead, so that they could buy and sell. I am pretty sure Enoch and Elijah were warning them not to do so before they did.
Revelation Chapter 14, verses 9-11;
"And another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehand or upon his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."
The first angel that goes forth throughout the earth to proclaim the eternal gospel, goes forth right before the seventh trumpet sounds. This means Salvation would be still available to anyone who wanted it. It bears witness to the fact that there is no works required to enter the kingdom of God, other than, "believing on Him who He sent", Jesus. So what we have seen, is that Jesus will do everything He can possible, other than forcing Himself on a human, to get them to receive eternal life. Jesus wants everyone to participate in the 1st resurrection, so that they don't have to stay dead and go through His wrath and eventually ending up with Satan and the demons in the Lake of Fire.
THE ARC OF THE COVENANT
Now going back to Revelation Chapter 11, verses 15-19, when it was revealed to John what will occur at the last trumpet sound. We have covered all of it except verse 19;
"And the temple of God which is heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightening and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm."
This is referring to right when the veil that separates the spiritual realm from the physical realm is dissolved. The temple of God , which is His dwelling place, becomes visible, because the heavens have opened up. The ark of His covenant appears in His temple. Jesus is the Arc of the covenant. Noah's arc rescued Noah's family from the flood. It was just Noah's family because no one else wanted to get on board. They were invited. Jesus is the the Arc that transfers anyone, who wants to get on board, from the realm of darkness into the kingdom of the Light. Jesus is also the Arc that will transfer the perishable mortal bodies, of those who believe in Him, from this earth and into His heavenly kingdom, and in that process transforming them into imperishable immortal spiritual bodies that can enter the kingdom of God.
This was made possible, because Jesus being born of the seed of God, not man, was sinless. With Jesus being sinless, He was able to fulfill the Law, which was a requirement for a man to be able to enter heaven. Jesus fulfilled all righteousness. When a person believes in Jesus and receives what He did on the cross, they become one with Jesus and part of His Body. When a person receives Jesus, they put themselves on the cross with Jesus, they die with Jesus, they are buried with Jesus, their sin is buried in the grave with Jesus, Who on the cross became the sponge for the sin of all mankind, they rise with Jesus from the dead, and they become alive in their soul, filled will the Spirit of the Living God who raised Jesus body from the dead. Jesus is the Righteous One and because He is Righteous, He becomes our righteousness. With a person being in Jesus, because He is righteous according to the Law, the person is made righteous in Jesus. Jesus is the Ark that allows those in Him to be carried from the earth into heaven through the resurrection and ascension.
THE GREAT HAIL STORM
Something to think about. The great hailstorm. At the resurrection, the body which is the seed of what the glorified body will become, must die and be shed. Remember, flesh and blood can inherit the Kingdom of God. 1st Corinthians, Chapter 15, verse 50. So when the body is shed, as it is transformed in its resurrection and ascension, it must go somewhere. If it returns to the earth, the body is made up of 85% water. As the water returns from that high altitude, it would freeze. Just something to think about.
Revelation Chapter 16, verse 21;
"And a huge hailstorm, about a hundred pound each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was so severe."
Notice that the Hail comes down from heaven. The water in the human bodies falling from that altitude would definitely freeze.
AFTER THE BATTLE AT ARMAGEDDON
The Day of the Lord begins in glory, with the resurrection and ascension of the Lamb's bride (His Saints), that all of creation waits to see. The second part of that day is a day of gloom and the wrath of God that will come to destroy those who are destroying the earth. Satan and the armies of the world, will see heaven opened up and see Jesus revealed, and will gather to make war with Him in the valley of Armageddon in Israel. The valley is the wine press of the wrath of God where all those who are gathered there, the clusters of the earth, will be destroyed. After that battle, Jesus and His armies will refurbish the earth. There will be a great fire that will come forth from Jesus and His Saints on their horses. They will have to burn up all the rubbish left on the earth, because every city on the earth will have fallen because of the great earthquake.
When the last bowl of wrath is poured out, this is what will occur, as revealed in Revelations, Chapter 16, verses 17-21;
"And the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air; and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, 'It is done.' And there were flashes of lightning and sounds of peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. And the great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And huge hailstorms, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was extremely severe."
The seven bowls of the wrath of God will be poured out on the earth as the Saints are being drawn up in heaven. The seventh bowl was poured out upon the earth and the hail came down from heaven. When the temple of heaven is opened up, there is lightning, thunder peals, a great earthquake, and a great hailstorm that is referred to every time, in many different ways, when it is referred to in the Book of Revelation. Heaven is opened up, Saints go up, wrath comes down, and a great earthquake that will cause all the cities on earth to fall, along with the damage from the hundred pound hail. Now picture the rubble and debris that will be left behind from the destruction that the earthquake will leave behind.
After Jesus and the Saints come back on white horses to destroy those who are destroying the earth in the valley of Armageddon, they will proceed to go out throughout the whole earth with pinpoint precision refurbishing the surface of the earth by burning up all the rubble. This must me done because the earth must be transformed for the new millennial age, where Jesus and His Saints will rule over the new earth from the Heavenly Jerusalem for one thousand years.
THE WRATH OF THAT DAY
We will look at what must take place before the Millennial Reign of Jesus will begin;
The Prophet Isaiah wrote this in his 13th Chapter, verses 3-5;
"I have commanded My consecrated ones, I have called My mighty warriors, My proudly exalted ones, to execute My anger. A sound of tumult on the mountains, Like that of many people! A sound of the uproar of kingdoms, of nations gathered together! The Lord of hosts is mustering His army for battle. They are coming from a far country from the farthest horizons, The Lord and His instruments of indignation, to destroy the whole land."
And in verses 9-13;
"Behold the day of the Lord is near! Cruel, with fury and burning anger, To make the land a desolation; And He will exterminate its sinners from it. For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not not flash forth their light; The sun will be dark when it rises, And the moon will not shed its light. Thus I will punish the earth for its evil, And the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud, and abase the haughtiness of the ruthless. I will make mortal man scarcer than pure gold, And all mankind than gold of Ophir. Therefore I shall make the heavens tremble, And the earth will be shaken from its place at the fury of the Lord of hosts in the Day of His burning anger."
The Prophet Isaiah writes this in his 24th Chapter, verses 1-6;
"Behold, the Lord lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface, and scatters its inhabitants. And the people will be like the priest, the servant like his master, the maid like her mistress, the buyer like the seller, the lender like the borrower, the creditor like the lender. The earth will be completely laid waste and completely despoiled, for the Lord has spoken this word. The earth mourns and withers, the world fades and withers, the exalted of the people of the earth fade away. The earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left."
The Prophet Joel describes the Day of the Lord this way , in his 2nd Chapter, in verses 1-11;
"Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let the inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of the Lord is coming; Surely it is near, a day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and thick darkness. As the dawn is spread over the mountains, so there is a great and mighty people; There has never been anything like it, Nor will there be again after it to the years of many generations. A fire consumes before them, And behind them a flame burns. The land is like the garden of Eden before them, And nothing at all escapes them. THEIR APPEARANCE IS LIKE THE APPEARANCE OF HORSES; AND LIKE HORSES , SO THEY RUN. With the noise as of chariots they leap on the tops of the mountains, Like the crackling of a flame of fire consuming the stubble, Like mighty men arranged for battle. Before them the people are in anguish; All faces turn pale. They run like mighty men; They climb the walls like soldiers; And they each march in line, Nor do they deviate from their paths. They do not crowd each other; They march everyone in their path. When they burst through the defenses, They do not break rake. They rush the city, They run on the wall; They climb into the houses, they enter into the windows like a thief. Before them the earth quakes, The heavens tremble, The sun and the moon grow dark, and the stars loose their brightness. And the Lord utters His voice before His army; Surely His camp is very great, For strong is he who carries out His word. The day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome, And who can endure it?"
Notice I capitalized the description of horses. The Prophet Habakkuk mentioned these horses in his 3rd Chapter, in verses 8 and 15;
"That thou did ride on Thy horses." and "Thou didst tread on the sea with Thy Horses."
The horses moved across the waters.
The Prophet Zephaniah wrote this in his first Chapter, in verses 14-18;
"Near is the great day of the Lord, Near and coming very quickly, Listen, the day of the Lord! In it the warrior cries out bitterly. A day of wrath is that day, a day of trouble and distress, A day of destruction and desolation, A day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of trumpet and battle cry, against the fortified cities and the high corner towers. And I will bring distress on men, So that they will walk like the blind, Because they had sinned against the Lord,; And their blood will be poured out like dust, And their flesh like dung. Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them on the day of the Lord's wrath; And all the earth will be devoured in the fire of His jealousy, for He will make a complete end, Indeed a terrifying one, Of all the wicked inhabitants of the earth."
The Prophet Malachi wrote this in his 4th Chapter;
"'For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,' says the Lord of host, 'so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear My name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip around like calves in their stall. And you will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,' says the Lord of hosts. 'Remember the law of Moses my servant, even the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel. Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord. And he will restore the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse'."
The Prophet Micah write this in his 5th Chapter, in verses 10-15;
"And it will be in that day, declares the Lord, That I will cut off your horses from among you and destroy your chariots. I will also cut off cities of your land and tear down all your fortifications. I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you will have fortunetellers no more. I will cut off your carved images and your sacred pillars from among you, So that you will no longer bow down to the work of you hands. I will root out your Asherim (a female deity) from among you and destroy your cities. And I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath on nations which have not obeyed"
You can see in these passages, from the different Prophets, a common theme and a common description of what the day of the Lord will be like after the Saints join up with Jesus. The prophesy that the Lord God gave to Malachi to proclaim, speaks to Elijah coming before that day. It also referred to the Saints who fear His name (Jesus,Yeshua) and their reward. Fearing the name of the Lord means to revere His name and hold it above all other names. He says that ashes will be under their feet and this will be because of the fire that they will come forth from them. Jesus described it, "like a furnace", that will burn down even to the roots.
The apostle Peter in his 2nd letter, pretty much summed up just how sever this day will be, when he wrote this in his 3rd Chapter, in verses 1-13;
"Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lust, and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.' For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed being flooded with water. But the present heaven and earth by His word are reserved for fire, keep for a day of judgement and destruction of ungodly men. But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness,, but is patient towards you, NOT WISHING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH BUT FOR ALL TO COME TO REPENTANCE.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens and the earth will pass away with a roar and the elements will melt with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and holiness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will burn with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for a new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
Notice Peter repeated himself twice about the elements burning with intense heat and the second time with an explanation point to emphasize the severity. Everything we see in this physical realm are made up of elements that Jesus holds together. Jesus will dissolve all these elements. But Peter quickly turned the gloom into hope, when he directed us to look for the new heavens and new earth where righteousness will dwell. With Jesus speaking forth His words there will be a new heavens and a new earth.
THE NEW EARTH
The Day of the Lord is Glorious, gloomy, and then fierce, but the days that will follow will be Glorious again. Once all the evil works of of men, who rejected Jesus and chose evil, are destroyed and burnt down to the roots, below the surface, there will be a new earth. On this new earth Jesus will rule it in righteousness with His New Creations, for one thousand years.
It will be an earth where evil has no influence, for Satan will be locked up for the entire thousand years. After the thousand years Satan will be freed and will continue with his deceptive ways. Showing no repentance, Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire for eternal death. This will show justification for Jesus to throw Satan and his demons, who followed him, into the Lake of Fire.
It is not that Jesus even needs a reason to do it. Jesus could have thrown Satan and the demons in the Lake of Fire when they fell away. I am sure that Jesus didn't want to think that the angels, that stayed with Him, would do so out of fear of the same fate. Maybe, for the sake of the angels that did not rebel, Jesus came up with His plan to create the earth and human beings upon it. In doing so, through the creation of human beings, Jesus would create upon the earth, through humans, a body for Himself. This way the angels would be able to see a visible representation of Himself in all the beauty of His Glorified Body.
Jesus plan also included creating upon the earth in the souls of human beings, a New Spiritual Created being in His likeness, so that the angels could see the reward and glory of those who chose to follow Him. Also, so the angels could see what Satan and the demons would do to humans and the earth. In doing this, the angels would know that they made the right choice.
Jesus reveals this to John in Revelation in Chapter 20, verses 1-3;
"And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time."
Jesus and His New Creations will reign over the earth as record in Revelation Chapter 20, verses 4-6;
"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years."
The first resurrection is the one when the last trumpet sounds and the Saints meet up with Jesus in the air and will reign with Him. Notice,"priests of God and Christ and will reign with Him (Singular). The second resurrection is at the end of the thousand years, when those who did not participate in the first resurrection will rise from the dead and be brought before the great white throne to have to give an account for what they did in their life.
Jesus revealed this to John in Revelation Chapter 20, verses 11-15;
"And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened ; which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things that were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged every one of them according to their deeds."
This passage is a good thing for me to point out. You do not have to participate in the second resurrection. Anyone can participate in the first resurrection and avoid the second resurrection. They just have to want to and receive what Jesus did for them. When you receive Jesus who is the Light, it is like the film of your whole life becomes overexposed and there is no evidence of it. " Although our sins are red like scarlet, they will be white as snow and as far as the east is from the west."
People who come to Jesus will reign with Him over the earth from the heavenly Jerusalem for a thousand years and they will dwell with Him for all eternity in the kingdom that He has prepared for them.
THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM
The Heavenly Jerusalem is best described to us in Revelation where John was shown a vision of the Heavenly Jerusalem coming down from heaven to the earth after the thousand year period and after Satan and the demons, and those who followed them, were cast into the Lake of Fire. John was shown this in Revelation Chapter 21, verses 10-22;
"And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper. It had a great high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are those of the twelve tribes of Israel. There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stone, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And the one who spoke to me had a gold measuring rod to measure the city, and its gates and its wall. And the city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as its width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal. And he measured the its wall, seventy-two yards, according to human measurements, which are also angelic measurements. And the material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundation stones of the the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, crysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chryoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; and the twelfth, amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illumined it and the lamp is the Lamb.
Looking at the description of the Heavenly Jerusalem, one can only imagine how much more beautiful and awesome it is in reality. In short, it is very big, 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles and 1,500 miles high. If there were 1500 separate levels to the city, each layer would be a mile high. Walls and streets transparent gold like glass. The base wall of the city is 72 yards high, with 12 layers that are six yards high each, with each layer made with a different precious stone and color. Each of the 12 gates are made of pearl.
I tell people that there is no religion in heaven. When John said that he saw no temple in it, I was not surprised. The Lord God and His Body are its temple. His Saints worship in Him. I can never say, Them, for the Lord our God is One. The One is the Lord our Salvation, Yeshua (Jesus). The Heavenly Jerusalem is the dwelling place of the Spirit of God, The Holy of Holies. The Heavenly Jerusalem will be the Light of the nations, as it dwells above the land that was promised to the descendants of Israel.
HEAVENLY JERUSALEM ABOVE THE EARTH
The Prophet Micah shows us this in His 4th Chapter, in verses 1 and 2;
"And it will come about in the last days that the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills, and the peoples will steam to it. And many nations will come and say, 'Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord and to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways and that we may walk in His paths.'
The Prophet Amos wrote this in his 9th Chapter, verse 5 and 6;
"And the Lord God of hosts, The one who touches the land so that it melts, And all those who dwell in it mourn, And all of it rises up like the Nile and subsides like the Nile in Egypt; The one who builds His chambers in the heavens, And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth."
JESUS AND THE NEW CREATIONS RULE OVER THE EARTH
The Prophet Micah writes this in his 4th Chapter, in verses 2-5;
"For from Zion (the Heavenly Jerusalem) will go forth the law, Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And He will judge between many peoples and render decisions for mighty, distant nations. They will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks, Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they train for war. And each of them will sit under his vine, And under his fig tree, With no one to make them afraid, For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. Though all the peoples walk each in the name of his god, As for us, we will walk in the name of the Lord our God, forever and ever."
So we see that Jesus will rule over nations. From Mount Zion(the Heavenly Jerusalem ), will go forth the law that will be established for the nations to live by. This means that people will survive the wrath that will come upon the wicked, so that the earth, during Jesus reign, can be repopulated. This means that the burning of the earth will be strategic and just. He is God and He knows what He is doing and what He has planned. We will have to wait and see how it turns out according to His Divine will.
With Satan bound and Jesus ruling, there will be true peace on the earth. People will not live in fear. There will be no more wars. The word of the Lord will go forth from the earthly Jerusalem and the people of the earth will come to the land given to Jacob to learn the ways of the Lord and to see and witness the Majesty of the Heavenly Jerusalem above the mountains.
Jesus gives the best description of life during thousand year reign as spoken through the Prophet Isaiah in his 65th Chapter, in verses 17-25;
"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind.. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing, And her people for gladness. I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in My people; And there will no longer be heard in her the voice of weeping and the sound of crying. No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not live out his days; For the youth will die at the age of one hundred and the one who does not reach the age of one hundred shall be thought accursed. And they shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build, and another inhabit, They shall not plant, and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so shall the days of My people, And My chosen shall wear out the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, Or bear children for calamity; For they are the offspring of those blessed by the Lord, And their descendants with them. It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall graze together, and the lion shall eat straw with the ox; and dust shall be the serpents food. They shall do no evil harm in all My holy mountain, says the Lord."
The Prophet Isaiah wrote this in his 11th Chapter, verses 6-9;
"And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the kid, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them. Also a cow and a bear will graze; Their young will lie down together; and the lion will eat straw with the ox. And the nursing child will play by the whole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den. They will not hurt or destroy in My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."
Jesus' amazing thousand year reign is unlike anything that we have experienced in this current age. With this passage, we can imagine what kind of influence Satan and the demons, who are locked up at this time, had on the interaction of animals with animals and humans with the animals.
People will live long lives like they did in the days of Noah, because there will be no sun. The light from the heavenly kingdom, that will be like a dome over the earth, will illuminate the earth. We have learned from what we have read already, in Revelation 21:23, that the glory of God illuminates and the Lamb in heaven is the Lamp, the Light, that illuminates both the Kingdom of heaven and the earth.
THOSE WHO WILL POPULATE THE EARTH
We already know, from what we have read already, that there will be life that is saved from those who were destroying the earth. That is why the wrath came. We also know that there will be a 144,000, 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes (Son's of Jacob) of Israel, who were sealed, as to not be harmed during the time of the beast, that will show up with Jesus on mount Zion in Israel, before the Day of the Lord. We read about those who fled Jerusalem and Israel, who were rescued on wings of eagles and kept safe away from the presence of the beast, in a place that had been prepared for them in the wilderness. We also read that nations that did not rebel against God will still be around.
Jesus will bring back a remnant of the house of Israel back to land that He had promised them. The land that they were promised is much greater than the land of Israel today.
The Prophet Zechariah Prophesied this in his book, in Chapter 12, in verses 9 and 10;
"And it will come about in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only child, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born."
The Prophet Ezekiel brings forth this prophesy in his book, in Chapter 28, in verses 25 and 26;
"Thus says the Lord God, 'When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall manifest My holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they will live in their land which I promised My servant Jacob. And they will live in it securely; and they will build houses, plant vineyards and live securely, when I execute judgments upon all who scorn them round about them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God."
The Prophet Isaiah writes this in his 10th Chapter, in verses 20-22;
"Now it will come about in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who stuck them, but will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty God. For though your people, O Israel , are like the sand of the sea, Only a remnant within them will return; A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness."
The Prophet Amos prophesied this in his 9th Chapter, verses 13-15;
" 'Behold, days are coming', declares the Lord, 'When the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; When the mountains will drip sweet wine, and all the hills will be dissolved. Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel, And they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, They will also plant vineyards and drink their wine, And make gardens and eat their fruit. I will also plant them on their land, And they will not again be rooted out from their land, which I have given them'. Says the Lord your God"
The Prophet Zephaniah prophesied this in his 3rd Chapter, in verses 12 and 13;
"But I will leave among you a humble and lowly people, And they will take refuge in the name of the Lord. The remnant of Israel will do no wrong and tell no lies, Nor will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouths; For they shall feed and lie down with no one to make them tremble."
THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT
At the end of the Thousand year reign of Jesus and His New Creations, Satan will be let loose, for a short time, to try to deceive the nations again to come against the the land of God's presence. All those who line up with Satan will be wiped out by Jesus. Satan will be cast into the lake of Fire and those who lined up with Satan, who are now dead, will be resurrected in the second resurrection where they will be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire with all the others who died without Jesus.
At the end of Jesus thousand year reign, the Great White Throne judgement will be held. Everyone who is resurrected in the second resurrection, will be brought before the Great White Throne. Before that throne, "every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father". After that judgement, everyone who chose to go to the Lake of Fire, will be in it.
Jesus showed us this in His 20th Chapter of His Revelation, in verses 11-15;
"And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."
The first death is the death of the body, the second death is the death of the soul. The soul is eternal, so that is why it is an eternal death in the Lake of Fire. In reality, the only deed that a human being is being judged for, is that they "did not receive the love of the truth as to be saved" from this place that was only meant for Satan and the fallen angels (the demons) and Death. The deed of receiving the truth would have erased all your other deeds, that you would be judged for, and your name would be written in the book of life. Anyone can receive the truth, even up to your last breath, before the Last trumpet.
THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM COMES DOWN TO THE EARTH
With evil and the wicked all out of the way and no longer being able to insert their evil and wicked influences on people, then there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The Heavenly Jerusalem will come down out of heaven, making it a new heaven and it will come down on to the earth, making it a new earth.
Jesus showed us this in the 21st Chapter of His Revelation, in verses 1-8;
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, 'Behold the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be among them., and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have past away'. And He who sits on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new'. and He said, 'Write, for these words are faithful and true'. And He said to me, 'It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the and. I will give to the one who thirsts from the water of life without cost. He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. But for the cowardly and UNBELIEVING and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the Lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death'."
Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, and He says in this passage that He will be your God and you will be His sons, making Him a Father.
The Heavenly Jerusalem will come down onto the earth. The 12 gates made of pearl will be for those who will inhabit the earth at that time. The base of the New Jerusalem will be for people on the new earth to enter through. Remember, the base of the New Jerusalem is 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles and 72 yard high, made of twelve 6 yard layers, each made of a different precious stones.
Jesus talks more about the new earth, with the New Jerusalem on it, in His book of Revelations, in Chapter 21, verses 24-27;
"And the nations shall walk by its light, and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it. And in the daytime (for there shall be no night there) its gates shall never be closed; and nothing unclean and no one who practices abominations and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life."
We will finish with what Jesus continued to reveal to John, in Chapter 22, in verses 1-5;
"And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves are for the healing of the nations. And there shall no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His bond-servants shall serve Him; And they shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. And there shall no longer be any night; and they shall not have need for the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever."
Notice, " the throne of God and of the Lamb....His bond-servants.... serve Him".
Some people seem to think that eternity sounds boring. That is because they don't know anything about it. Eye has not seen nor ear heard what has been prepared. What we have seen here is just a blink. Only imagine. Then choose where you want to spend eternity.
